Western Pennsylvania Chapter
The 6th Annual Barbara Lee's Fast Track to a Cure of Huntington's Disease
Fast Track Pittsburgh was founded by Morgan McLane, a local Pittsburgher whose aunt was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease (HD) in December 1999 and lost her battle in April 2010. In her honor, Morgan began the "Barbara Lee's Fast Track to a Cure for Huntington's Disease," an autocross fundraiser. No win its 6th year, this family-friendly event continues to gain popularity while increasing awareness about Huntington’s Disease and raising an average of $10,000 a year in support of finding a cure.
Fast Track Pittsburgh works closely with North Hills Sports Car Club (NHSCC) every year to provide a safe and controlled environment for the fundraiser. This year "Barbara Lee's Fast Track to a Cure forHuntington's Disease” will be held the North Park Pool Parking Lot on Sunday, May 26. If you aren't afraid to torture your tires (slight poking, not water boarding!), then this event is for you! Not one for speed? No problem! There will be Fun Runs end of the race for those interested in riding along with a driver on the course Either way, grab your favorite lawn chair and set up camp for the day.
In addition to the race, there will be great food prepared by Chef Michel Kohlman and activities for the little ones. Plus an endless line of baskets for auction and goodies for sale!
