San Diego Team Hope Walk

The San Diego Team Hope Walk benefiting the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, San Diego Chapter, was held on Sunday, April 14 at Coronado Tidelands Park.  The walk was kicked off by Team Vertex, who had the largest team in attendance.  Over 250 people turned out to show their support in the fight against Huntington’s disease.  Sponsors included Vertex, Auspex, Lundbeck, Republic Moving, Zico, among many others!

Over $35,000 was raised to support those affected by Huntington’s disease.  Ken Serbin, HD blogger was the largest fundraiser raising over $4,500.  He won an ipad mini, which he gave to Terry Leach, who is 17 and has Juvenile HD.  Terry will use the ipad to help him communicate since he has lost his ability to do so verbally because of HD.
