The 14th Annual NYA Day was a success! Louisville granted us opportunities we had never experienced before, and had an outpouring of support from the NYA & HDSA community. We were able to provide 23 scholarships to convention, along with 14 extra registration fees. We had 60 NYA members attend NYA Day, our largest attendance since Minnesota in 2011.

Throughout convention we had our raffle table, sold t-shirts and bracelets and collected donations for the NYA Scholarship Fund. The Talent Show brought in $9,780.79 alone. With raffle tickets sales and merchandise sales we reached an astounding $13,500.00 towards scholarships for the 30th Annual HDSA Convention in Dallas, TX next year!

Through support from Auspex Pharmaceuticals, we were able to have $10.00 donations awarded to the NYA Scholarship Fund for each person who circled our organization and submitted the cards at the Auspex table, the amount is still be counted.

We also had three NYA members win the best awards at the Gala on Saturday night. Lauren Holder won HDSA's Person of the Year, and Kaitlin Klarer & Destiny Hand took home Youth Leader's of the Year awards!

We surprised convention attendees with a flash mob during the Chapter & Affiliate luncheon and brought a new excitement to HDSA about the "youth of tomorrow", which was our motto for the year.

We have made our impact, recreating who the NYA is and what we provide to youth's across the country throughout the year and while at convention.

We want to thank all of our amazing supporters who gave time, money, and energy to us at this years convention. We thank HDSA for supporting us throughout the year, to the NYA Board members who give tirelessly into planning and services year round, and to the NYA members who step up and do their part at convention. Without each and every piece of the puzzle coming into place, we would be unable to be as successfull as we were this year.
