27th Annual HDSA National Convention Scholarship

Thanks to a generous donation from Lundbeck, the Huntington's Disease Society of America is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for scholarships to attend the 27th Annual HDSA National Convention in Las Vegas, NV this June.

 

The intent of this scholarship is to help families and individuals who have never been to a HDSA National Convention attend the Society's 2012 Convention.

 

Scholarship Availability & Application
The scholarship is open only to first time convention attendees who are non-Nevada residents. Applicants must be 18 years or older as of
March 23, 2012.  Open to residents of United States only.

What does the scholarship cover?

 

Travel by Plane - Scholarship will cover:

  • Round-trip airfare up to $500 per person for up to four family members;
  • Hotel accommodations for up to four family members at the Red Rock Resort for 3 nights, June 7 - June 9; and (If your family includes a National Youth Alliance (NYA) member who will be attending HDSA's NYA Day on June 7, you will receive 4 nights, June 6 - June 9)
  • Convention Registration Fees for up to four family members.

 

Travel by Automobile - Scholarship will cover:

  • Roundtrip mileage reimbursement at 55.5 cents per mile;
  • Hotel accommodations for up to four family members at the Red Rock Resort for 3 nights, June 7 - June 9; and (If your family includes a National Youth Alliance (NYA) member who will be attending HDSA's NYA Day on June 7, you will receive 4 nights, June 6 - June 9)
  • Convention Registration Fees for up to four family members.

 

What doesn't the scholarship cover?
-  Hotel incidentals (You will need to have a credit card and ID to check into your room.)

-  Transportation to and from the hotel/airport.

-  Meals not provided as part of the Convention registration.
