Medicare is currently in open enrollment. If you qualify for Medicare through Social Security Disability then you may want to learn more about what types of plans are available to you by clicking on the links below.

For tips on selecting a Medicare and Part D Health Plan, go to http://www.cms.gov/Center/Special-Topic/Open-Enrollment/Downloads/FINAL-Article-Medicare-Open-Enrollment-Beneficiary-2015-508.pdf.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) also expanded preventive services available under Medicare while reducing most co-payments and deductibles for these areas. But they are under-utilized. The Annual Wellness Visit is a useful tool for a Medicare beneficiary and the physician to use to obtain a health  road map for the year.

If you are not Medicare eligible, and are looking to purchase health insurance for yourself and/or your family through an insurance exchange, now is the time! Healthcare exchanges are once again accepting individuals and families for healthcare coverage.

If you are already enrolled, you may wish to click on this link to learn more about staying covered by your current provider: https://marketplace.cms.gov/outreach-and-education/5-steps-to-staying-covereded.pdf.

If you need to enroll or change pans, you may want to learn more about exchanges at: https://marketplace.cms.gov/outreach-and-education/about-the-marketplace-english.pdf.

For general information on marketplaces or insurance exchanges, you can also go to: https://marketplace.cms.gov/index.html
