13th Annual Twin Cities Hoop-A-Thon a Slam Dunk Success


The 13th Annual Twin Cities Hoop-A-Thon was held on Sunday, April 18th from 1 to 5 PM at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, MN. More than 500 people attended the event and projected gross revenue is likely to exceed $50,000. Special appearances and performances were made by the National Champion University of St. Thomas Dance Team and the Minnesota Timberwolvers Dunk Team. Sponsors at this year's event include Culvers Restaurants, Pepsi, PowerAid, Xerox, Bremer Bank, Lundbeck and VTI Security. The MN Chapter of HDSA and the Center of Excellence in Iowa both provided informational tables, and the Wellness Center provided complimentary back massages for attendees. Each registered attendee was given an official event t-shirt along with a complimentary gift bag containing merchandise and gift certificates from local merchants. The silent auction contained more than 25 items, including an expense paid trip to Chicago and premier seats to a future Minnesota Twins baseball game.
