We are the Connecticut affiliate of the Huntington's Disease Society of America, a national, not-for-profit voluntary health agency. We are a powerful force in the Connecticut community. We educate ourselves, share information, and advocate for loved ones.We have establish resources to help those living with HD, from support groups and personal counseling to medical information and clinical trials, Connecticut is on the cutting edge of HD research. We also hold fund raising events throughout the year, such as the Pipers' Pub Crawl and the Team Hope Walk at Lighthouse Point Park. The money raised goes to fund research and help fight to improve the lives of people affected by HD.
While there is still no cure for HD, today there is more hope than ever that we can beat this disease. Until then, our chapter will strive to provide support and sustenance to our HD families, knowing that while research provides hope for the future, we must provide care for our HD community today.
If you'd like to get involved please contact Susan McGann, our Connecticut Affiliate Chapter President.
